Good progress today
May. 29th, 2006 04:11 pmMy Day 2 Plan for the Office venting project went fairly well!
Items completed:
- All electrical connections
- Programed the relay controller
- Tested the fan
- Routed and hung the intake duct to the office
- Cut hole in office ceiling, installed intake grill, and attached and sealed the duct
- Scared the hell out of the red cat when sheetrock circle fell out of the ceiling!*
- I even cleaned up the dust/debris on office floor
* not on the original plan
This just leaves routing the exhaust duct to the living room and an intake duct to the bonus room and installing the two grills.
It may not be complete yet, but it works wonderfully anyway. I was just sitting here thinking it was kind of warm in my office. Opened my X10 control software and turned on device A4! I was promptly greeted by the soothing sound of 250 CFM of air vacating my office via the new vent in the ceiling. Granted, this air is only going to the attic (not to the living room as planned, yet) but the office cooled down very nicely.
